One of the most cheerful and fragrant competitions in Serbia returns again this year – “Izađi mi na teglu”! Every autumn this travelling festival dedicated to ajvar (roasted pepper relish) brings together teams from all over the country who compete to make the best homemade ajvar, preserving tradition and providing plenty of fun.
The caravan stops in Bačka Topola on 17 September 2025, so all lovers of ajvar and a good atmosphere can experience this unique event in person.
What to expect
The teams will bring their secret recipes and spices, and the jury will decide whose ajvar is the tastiest. Besides the competition, visitors can enjoy a rich side programme:
