June in Purple 2026 – Lavender harvest in Bačka Topola
This year the “June in Purple” event takes place from 3 to 28 June 2026 on the lavender plantation in Bačka Topola, giving visitors the chance to truly feel the purple spirit of summer.
“Day zero” – 28 May
Once again the event starts earlier than officially planned: on Wednesday 28 May, from 4 pm to 8 pm, visitors can pick lavender free of charge. At the same time the creative workshop “Purple Corner”, led by Edit Crnković and Tatjana Dudaš, takes place. All workshop places are already taken, but pickers and visitors are warmly welcome.
Plantation opening hours
The plantation officially opens on 3 June and welcomes visitors every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 4 pm to 8 pm.
Thursdays – free concerts
On Thursday evenings, from 7 pm, there are free concerts with lavender specialities.
Yoga in the lavender field
On 12 and 26 June, from 6 pm, anyone interested can join free yoga classes in the magical setting of the lavender field, led by Vesna Sretenović Vujičić.
Prices and paper bags
Prices remain the same: paper bags cost RSD 300 or 500. Group visits outside regular hours are possible by prior arrangement. Professional photographers may use the grounds for photo shoots, with advance notice.
This year’s performers
4 June, 7 pm – “In Progress” from Bajmok
A band founded in 2013, known for energetic performances and a repertoire combining rock, funk and reggae. Line-up: Katerina Ohrimenko (vocals), Csaba Bartos (drums), Boris Tatalović (guitar), Adrián Kollár (bass), Dávid Dukai (keyboards).
11 June, 7 pm – “SergeGrin & the Rockin’ South”
A blues-rock trio from Bačka Topola that has been bringing raw energy and an authentic sound for three years. The band is led by Russian-born singer and harmonica player Serge Grin, with guitarist Csaba Kasza and drummer Marko Predojević. Their sound blends classic blues with powerful rock energy and improvisation.
18 June, 7 pm – “Timi & Dani Acoustic Duo”
A duo founded in 2023. Tímea Botka, a music teacher from Bečej, and Dániel Óvári, an experienced musician, perform well-known songs in unique acoustic arrangements – pop, rock, soul and evergreen melodies. They play at celebrations and corporate events across Vojvodina.
25 June, 7 pm – “Bubamara” Music Centre
Students of the “Bubamara” Music Centre from Bečej, led by Gyönte Lovas, representing Generation Z, offer a unique musical experience with well-known pop and rock hits of Generation X.
Closing
The event closes on Sunday 28 June 2026 with a special workshop.
Important information for visitors
- Bring scissors or garden shears.
- There are bees on the lavender.
- You can pick lavender into paper bags sold on site (RSD 300 and 500).
- Bring a hat, sunscreen and water – there is no shade between the rows.
- Professional photographers can use the grounds by prior arrangement.
