Njegoševo is a village that has celebrated its first century. Locals and visitors gather for the summer night five-a-side football tournament and the cauldron-cooking (kotlić) competition. On 21 September the village celebrates its patron saint’s day, the Nativity of the Virgin (Mala Gospojina), with church services, a performance by the kindergarten children, football matches and festivities with music. Throughout the year the village cultural centre organises many cultural events in the hall of the Cooperative Hall (Zadružni dom) – theatre performances, literary and poetry evenings and concerts.
