Tomislavci

The Tomislavci colony was founded in 1928 in the municipality of Bajša near Bačka Topola, with about 50 members at the time. Settlers from Lika, and later from Bosnia, developed the village on the farmstead of Baron Vojnić. It lies on the loess plateau next to Široka Valley. The village was first named after Prince Tomislav, son of King Alexander Karađorđević. Residents celebrate St John’s Day (Ivandan) on 7 July.
