Panonija lies 12 km south-west of Bačka Topola. At 128 m above sea level it is the third-highest point in Vojvodina after Fruška Gora (539 m) and the Vršac Hills (641 m). Surrounded by parks, Panonija looks more like wooded hill country than the usual Vojvodina plain. Thanks to its pleasant setting it is an oasis of peace, ideal for relaxing and walking, and with its many sports grounds, for sport and recreation.
Panonija is also home to the mansion of the noble Falcione family, built in 1846. The mansion is in excellent condition and open to visitors every day.
Next to the village is the artificial lake “Sava”, with a beach and sport fishing.
